Meet Our Founder

Rebecca Ankli-McKinlay is the founder of VulneRable Beauty, a Canadian-owned cosmetics company built on truth, connection, and self-acceptance.

Her journey is deeply personal, rooted in the understanding that your story and your truth belong exactly as they are. Like many, Rebecca experienced moments of self-doubt, pressure, and expectations that shaped how she saw herself. Her relationship with mental health became a turning point, guiding her toward a powerful realization: vulnerability is not weakness, but strength.

Instead of hiding her mental health journey , she chose to honour it. From that place of honesty, truth and self-acceptance, VulneRable Beauty created a space where beauty is not defined by perfection, but by presence, authenticity, and being seen as you are.

At its core, VulneRable Beauty stands as a reminder for others that you are enough, right now, in this moment. Your story belongs, your truth matters, and your voice deserves space. The brand exists to foster mental health awareness, deepen connection, and encourage open, compassionate conversations that remind us we are not alone in what we carry.

While reshaping the beauty industry to be grounded in imperfection and true beauty, she invites everyone to join the VB journey not only through VB products but also by living with the courage to share their stories.
